Hydro cyclone (centrifugal separator)
Short explanation:
Hydro cyclones are simple, robust and self cleaning separators able to separate fine particles in relatively high concentrations using centrifugal forces with no need for a motor.
Working principle:
The hydro cyclone is built out of a cylindrical upper part with a top outlet in the middle and a tangential side inlet. The top part is connected to a conical bottom part with exchangeable drain part.
